Editing for Music Video Part 2

      Following the first day of editing, some of the video had to be separate so I could embed them into the computer. Therefore, I had to match them to their correct placements. In order to do this, I had to re-watch each video to make sure it fit. The next step was to put the music in the background of the video, and match the lyrics to the words. I had to alter the music to not overpower the video, by altering the volume to make it not so loud. Now that the video and the music is set, I used different effects to make the video look more realistic. For example, I added a foggy effect to make the club scene look more realistic and fun. Lastly, after matching the clips and editing the music, I embedded the flashback videos where I left room for. The videos fade in and out throughout the music video, to emphasize the emotional tone.

         I managed to get the feedback from my other peers and received mostly good news. Everyone said that the film was well edited and was really nice. This was a long process, but I am glad that it is over with. All I have to do now is touch up some errors and turn it in. Throughout this long process I learned how to make a 2 minute opening sequence, embed music, edit and place titles. There were a lot of setbacks that came from making this film, but I managed to get through it. Some of the characters had to be changed because they did not come through in the process, as well as some scenes the characters were in. I was still flexible enough to keep the show going on, and finish the final product. It was hard to get some of the camera angles because of where the scenes took place.                     My name is Mackenzie Mcauley, and I am a junior and 16 years old. I am taking this class to learn more about different forms of media, terms and how to advance in my technological skills. I've been attending  Fort Lauderdale High School (FLHS) and play on the softball team. I have been playing softball since I was 7 years old, and been apart of the school's team since Freshman year. I am in the Pre-law program, but I take Cambridge classes to meet the AICE diploma requirements. After I graduate, I hope to attend either UF or Nova to become a dentist. Editing and Taking Breaks

                        I have almost come to the end of the final task. So far, I have shot all of the scenes needed, and started editing some of the clips together. While reviewing the scenes, I noticed that the lighting was off in some parts. I had to have someone in my family help me record these scenes again. For example, The beginning scene was too dark because of how early it was, so we had to pretend it was early in the morning for the scene. I have a light dimmer, so I adjusted the lighting to create a brighter look. I also had to re-shoot the kitchen scenes because there was too much background noise that could not be canceled out.
