Storyboard for my Music Video

 

First Scene:

The camera will fade into me in a dark room with colorful lights and loud music. I will be dressed in bright colors and makeup, surrounded by a party scene while the music begins to play. I will be in a hallway, by myself, to show I am the main singer.

Second Scene:

The camera will shift to a different scene where more people are included while the song plays in the background. The actors will be dressed formally, sitting on a couch or in a crowded hallway. It will show the actors laughing and flirting with each other.

Third Scene:

The next scene is a close up of me in the colorful hallway, singing the song, while it fades to things happening at the same time. I will be dressed the same way, and makeup will be the same. My emotions are happy, while the others being showed are as well. 

Fourth Scene:

The camera will then shift back and forth between me and another character, singing the same lyrics of the song. This is all happening while other flashbacks are playing as well. This character is dressed the same as me, with colorful clothing and makeup. 

Fifth Scene:

The placement of the camera turns out and upward, while me and the actor come together to sing the lyrics of the song. We will be in a big dark room where colors are being shot everywhere. We will be dancing while the camera spins around us. 

Sixth Scene:

The camera will again shift to me in the hallway. This is me singing the main part of the song, while the camera is close up. My outfit will start to change to a more formal outfit. I will be dancing in this scene, while singing the chorus of the song. 

Seventh Scene:

 Camera changes to a wider screen, showing my surroundings and the actors in the back. The actors will be close together talking with each other while dancing, then shifts to other flashback memories, exploiting relationships. 

Eighth Scene:

The actors will be shown dancing on a dance floor, with the music playing in the background. I will be focused on the camera while I sing my part of the song. Other actors will sing along as well, while looking into the camera. 

Ninth Scene:

The ending of the music video will be a close up back to me. I will be in the hallway again, as the colorful lights fill the room around me. Actors may join in the background, while it fades to the last scene.

Tenth, Eleventh and Twelfth Scene:

The last scenes will be the credits. This includes the music I have used, the actors names and anything else I use.

             After work on Saturday, I took a trip to the beach to complete the remaining scenes of the film. While there, it was starting to get dark. I had to make the best of what I had, and continued to film and direct. After I came back from the beach, I went on to my computer and imported the videos into my editing software. I re-aligned all of the videos so that it did not look choppy. Now that all of my films are done, I decided to start editing the same day. I did not get finished with all of the editing, so I had to work on it through Sunday as well. I decided to mute some of the scenes and add the music so that it did not look like there was too much dialogue. The music I chose as the background fit perfectly with the mood and idea of the film. I was having trouble with using the music and the dialogue at the same time, but I adjusted the volume of the music and made it seem like the dialogue was far away sounding. After ...

Finished

         I managed to get the feedback from my other peers and received mostly good news. Everyone said that the film was well edited and was really nice. This was a long process, but I am glad that it is over with. All I have to do now is touch up some errors and turn it in. Throughout this long process I learned how to make a 2 minute opening sequence, embed music, edit and place titles. There were a lot of setbacks that came from making this film, but I managed to get through it. Some of the characters had to be changed because they did not come through in the process, as well as some scenes the characters were in. I was still flexible enough to keep the show going on, and finish the final product. It was hard to get some of the camera angles because of where the scenes took place. Genre Research: Boyhood

  The movie "Boyhood" follows the same characters for a time period of 12 years. The point of the film was to share how fast life can hit you. The movie follows the young boy throughout his life in a broken home. His mom goes through a series of phases that are wrong for her, creating a toxic life for the child. The movie goes through a fast pace of how the child grows up to an adults, and as soon as you know it are looking for colleges and moving out. Throughout the kid growing older, we get an insight on the living situation where the father is unstable, and the bills are barely getting paid. This creates an economic issue, as well as family problems. Drama elements throughout this movie is dialogue, lighting, and camera angles. The movie is full of dialogue between the boy and his acquaintances, friends and family members. As he experiences life, he shares many arguments with his mom that set the mood or plot of the scene.
