Planning for my Music Video

   


   


The name of the song I have chose is "Boyfriend-Big Time Rush". In the music video, the artist's are shown at a club scene, where the main singer is singing to the camera in front of a wall. Props to recreate this is going to be a flashlight, my TV and a sheer blanket. The flashlight is going to be uses to create a strobe light, while my TV will be used to show another color other than white, to make it look like I am in a club. The sheer blanket will be used as a background, where it shows shadows dancing behind it while the music is playing. In the music video, the costumes shown are leather jackets with a regular shirt under, a tuxedo, and regular shoes or dress shoes. In the music video I am going to create, I will have a leather jacket with a regular shirt underneath, black jeans and regular shoes, since I am creating only a snippet of the video. The location will take place at my house, in the hallway, or in my room. If that does not work out, I will go to the beach to film my music video. I will start to film my music video on November 21, and edit it November 22. On November 21, I will have one of my family member's record me doing the music video either in the hallway of my house, or at the beach. Once I am done filming the first take, we will look over it and do it over one more time. The next day I will review both videos, and edit them to create one video.

             After work on Saturday, I took a trip to the beach to complete the remaining scenes of the film. While there, it was starting to get dark. I had to make the best of what I had, and continued to film and direct. After I came back from the beach, I went on to my computer and imported the videos into my editing software. I re-aligned all of the videos so that it did not look choppy. Now that all of my films are done, I decided to start editing the same day. I did not get finished with all of the editing, so I had to work on it through Sunday as well. I decided to mute some of the scenes and add the music so that it did not look like there was too much dialogue. The music I chose as the background fit perfectly with the mood and idea of the film.          I managed to get the feedback from my other peers and received mostly good news. Everyone said that the film was well edited and was really nice. This was a long process, but I am glad that it is over with. All I have to do now is touch up some errors and turn it in. Throughout this long process I learned how to make a 2 minute opening sequence, embed music, edit and place titles. There were a lot of setbacks that came from making this film, but I managed to get through it. Some of the characters had to be changed because they did not come through in the process, as well as some scenes the characters were in. I was still flexible enough to keep the show going on, and finish the final product. It was hard to get some of the camera angles because of where the scenes took place. Genre Research: Boyhood

  The movie "Boyhood" follows the same characters for a time period of 12 years. The point of the film was to share how fast life can hit you. The movie follows the young boy throughout his life in a broken home. His mom goes through a series of phases that are wrong for her, creating a toxic life for the child. The movie goes through a fast pace of how the child grows up to an adults, and as soon as you know it are looking for colleges and moving out. Throughout the kid growing older, we get an insight on the living situation where the father is unstable, and the bills are barely getting paid. This creates an economic issue, as well as family problems. Drama elements throughout this movie is dialogue, lighting, and camera angles. The movie is full of dialogue between the boy and his acquaintances, friends and family members. As he experiences life, he shares many arguments with his mom that set the mood or plot of the scene.
